Is GTA 6 on Steam?
Steam release and Steam Deck
There is no PC version of GTA 6 announced, so Rockstar has no Steam page for it. Pages that claim to sell or download GTA 6 for PC are not official.

How Rockstar's past games arrived on Steam
| Game | PC launch | On Steam |
|---|---|---|
| GTA V | April 14, 2015 | From PC launch day |
| Red Dead Redemption 2 | November 5, 2019, on the Rockstar Games Launcher and Epic Games Store | December 5, 2019, one month later |
| GTA V Enhanced | March 4, 2025 | From launch day |
Sources: GTA V, Red Dead Redemption 2 on Steam, GTA V Enhanced on Steam.
The pattern is not fixed. GTA V was on Steam from day one, while Red Dead Redemption 2 launched on Rockstar's own launcher and the Epic Games Store first and reached Steam a month later. Either could happen with GTA 6.
Will you need the Rockstar Games Launcher on Steam?
Not announced for GTA 6. For Rockstar's recent PC games, yes: Red Dead Redemption 2 and GTA V Enhanced both require the Rockstar Games Launcher and a Rockstar account even when bought on Steam (Rockstar Games Support).
GTA 6 on Steam Deck
Unknown until a PC version exists. One recent precedent matters: on September 17, 2024, Rockstar added BattlEye anti-cheat to GTA Online on PC. Since then GTA Online no longer runs on Steam Deck, while GTA V Story Mode still does (PC Gamer). If GTA 6's online mode uses similar anti-cheat, the same split could happen.
How you will know it is coming
A real Steam page would be published by Rockstar and announced on the Rockstar Newswire. We will add the link here the day it appears. For the PC date itself, follow the GTA 6 PC release date tracker.
